Combat in “Escape The Dungeon Maze” just got a lot more strategic R4.0 - December 2025 with the introduction of the Haunted States system!

Haunted Status Effects

Both monsters and your hero can now be afflicted with various haunted states that dramatically affect combat:

  • Poisoned: Suffer repeating damage over time
  • Frozen: Unable to move or attack, completely incapacitated
  • Frightened: Too scared to attack, can only defend or flee

Spells and Cures

To complement these status effects, I’ve added:

  • Haunt Spells: Inflict these conditions on your enemies
  • Cure Spells: Remove status effects in combat
  • Cure Potions: Heal haunted states when needed

This creates new tactical possibilities - do you save your cure potions for emergencies, or use haunt spells aggressively? Every decision matters more than ever!
